LEGO ADVENT CALENDAR, DECEMBER 23rd: Oh, wow. A Christmas miracle, in the form of several sort-of-triangular pieces of green plastic.
Today's gift is a CHRISTMAS TREE. It's tall, it has ornaments, and it's topped with a star that will double nicely as a LEGO magic wand when Christmas is over.
Christmas trees are powerful things, even when they're abstract. All of our LEGO pals have set aside their differences and agreed that Christmas would be better if they spent it together.
Crimson Sally? She's stopped hitting on married men. Soliciting Steve? He left the briefcase at home, because this is no time for merchandising. Even Betty Bread is sharing her loaf without ever once considering what she'll get in return.
Beautiful sentiments, and a beautiful sight. I only wish they had a decanter of LEGO eggnog to pass around.
As Naked Santa leads the crew in a sing-a-long, it strikes me that this would've been a perfect way to end the Advent Calendar. Yet, there's still one gift left. Can we get any more Christmassy than a Christmas tree? Find out on the Eve! -Matt
